  • Ability Web Site for the Disabled - United Kingdom
    This Web Site offers an indexed system of 100's of pages giving information and providing 1000's of links covering most subjects on the Internet, in a format that will help over come most problems faced by the disabled users and making it incredibly simple to be transparently connected to the relevant sites around the world.

  • Administration on Developmental Disabilities (ADD)
    This is a federal agency that administers programs for the nearly four million Americans with developmental disabilities. Developmental disabilities are severe, chronic conditions attributable to mental and/or physical impairment which manifest before age 22 and are likely to continue through life. The major goal of the programs is a partnership with state governments, local communities, and the private sector to assist people with developmental disabilities to reach their maximum potential through increased independence, productivity, and community integration.

  • Association of University Centers on Disabilities
    The Association of University Centers on Disabilities (formerly the American Association of University Affiliated Programs for Persons with Developmental Disabilities) is a 501(c) non-profit organization that promotes and supports the national network of university centers on disabilities, which includes University Centers for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research, and Service (UCEDD), Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) Programs and Developmental Disabilities Research Centers (DDRC).

  • Cornucopia of Disability Information
    The Cornucopia of Disability Information is a gopher, intended to serve as a community resource for consumers and professionals by providing disability information in a wide variety of areas. The information addresses university (SUNY @ Buffalo), local (Buffalo & WNY), state, national and international audiences.

  • Online Directory of Genetic Resources
    The Alliance of Genetic Support Groups is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping individuals and families who have genetic disorders.

  • disABILITY Information and Resources
    These pages are maintained by Jim Lubin, who is a C2 quadriplegic, completely paralyzed from the neck down and dependent on a ventilator to breathe.

  • DisabilityInfo.Gov
    A comprehensive Federal website of disability-related government resources.

  • Internet Resources for Special Children (IRSC)
    IRSC is a World Wide Web (WWW) site dedicated to communicating information relating to the needs of special children on a global basis in order to provide an international network system between parent groups, foundations, educational institutions and medical sites, improve the environment for special children, act as a central starting point for information, unite the many global parent groups, provide the information in an attempt to solve many problems related to special children, and to help realize a happy, comfortable society and environment.

  • National Center for the Dissemination of Disability Research (NCDDR)
    The NCDDR performs research, technical assistance and demonstration activities focusing on the dissemination and utilization of disability research funded by the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR).

  • National Clearinghouse of Rehabilitation Training Materials
    We provide document delivery, research to disability related questions, a quarterly newsletter of new materials. We offer paper-based documents, videos and other rehabilitation training materials.

  • National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR)
    The National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR) provides leadership and support for a comprehensive program of research related to the rehabilitation of individuals with disabilities. All of our programmatic efforts are aimed at improving the lives of individuals with disabilities from birth through adulthood.

  • New Horizons Un-Limited, Inc.
    This is a non-profit organization committed to promoting communication and providing information to empower people who have life-long disabilities and their caregivers.

  • NICHCY
    NICHCY is the national information and referral center that provides information on disabilities and disability-related issues for families, educators, and other professionals. Their special focus is children and youth (birth to age 22).

  • NORD
    NORD is a federation of more than 140 not-for-profit voluntary health organizations serving people with rare disorders and disabilities. Thousands of affected individuals and their families--as well as support groups, health care and human service professionals, and advocates for people with rare disorders and disabilities--rely on NORD's assistance and leadership. NORD is a charity and continues its mission through the kindness and generosity of its our donors.

  • Enable New Zealand
    This national organization strives to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities in New Zealand by providing a nationally recognised, high quality, equipment, information, referral and development service.

  • Disability Information & Resource Centre - Australia
    DIRC provides an information, referral and advice service to the people of South Australia from a Centre where the needs of people with a disability have priority and where they are valued.

  • Our-Kids
    Our-Kids is a web page devoted to raising kids with special needs. This page serves as the archive of the Our Kids list. You can also take a look at the Our Kids welcome message and subscribe to the list. This site alsohas the Our-Kids Reading List and Nutrition Tips.
