The Acoustic Neuroma Association was created to provide information and support to patients who have experienced an acoustic neuroma or other benign problem affecting the cranial nerves. It furnishes information on patient rehabilitation to physicians and healthcare personnel, and promotes and supports research on acoustic neuroma and its effects. It also seeks to educate the public regarding symptoms suggestive of acoustic neuroma, thus promoting early diagnosis and successful treatment.

The Acoustic Neuroma Association publishes a quarterly newsletter with professionally-authored medical information, provides patients with information dealing with all aspects of acoustic neuroma, and it hosts a national symposium for those affected by acoustic neuroma.

The Acoustic Neuroma Association of Canada is a patient-headed, peer support group. It is an incorporated, registered, non-profit organization recognized as such by Revenue Canada.

Many individuals who face and undergo removal of acoustic neuromas and other benign tumors involving the cranial nerves have questions, concerns and physical and emotional adjustments. Membership in a group of those with similar experiences can be helpful to patients as well as family members and interested medical personnel.

    Acoustic Neuroma Awareness
Welcome! As a founder of this group (ANAWAY) and a prior Acoustic Neuroma patient, I invite you to join us. This group has been set up for AN or NF2 patients [post-operation, pre-operation, recently diagnosed, and "watch-and-wait" (observation)], families, friends, and caregivers. It is designed to raise "awareness" and types of treatments for this rare tumor.

    Acoustic Neuroma Severe Results
One-on-one and group support for people who have had surgical removal of one or more Acoustic Neuromas. This group is specifically for those who are associated in any way with people who have had severe results from their operation(s).
