    This is a volunteer-based health organization dedicated to assisting people who have had or will have intestinal or urinary diversions. It offers several services: the Ostomy Quarterly Magazine (four issues per year); preoperative and postoperative patient visiting and support; ostomy and alternate procedure publications; advocacy activities; liaison to other health care organizations; national, state and regional conferences; an annual youth rally; and a national and international network.
