Parent Partner Process

Step 1. Attend a Parent Partner training and fill out match forms.

Step 2. Accept a match if you are available to make the call within 24 hours (it is okay to refuse the match if the timing is wrong for you)

Step 3. Make the call within 24 hours. Introduce yourself and state why you are calling, ask if this is a good time or if necessary arrange for another time to call. Make sure that you make the call when you have about an hour of time that you will not be disturbed and can focus your full attention to the call. Perhaps in the evening after the family has eaten and the children are in bed.

Step 4. When the call ends, ask the parent if they would like for you to call them again sometime, arrange another call if you and the parent want to talk again.

Step 5. The Match Coordinator will follow up with you within a few days of you accepting a match to ensure that the call was made and worked out well for both callers
